0 ad roadmap12/14/2022 ![]() Great person points might have to be implemented similar to Religion. Other mechanics are going to be hit or miss, like unit healing, missionary uses remaining/faith power, musician power, etc. ZOC is a little trickier, as that will have to likely be controlled similarly to unit-stacking restrictions. For AI, this creates a bunch of issues, that I will have to look at. #0 ad roadmap fullNot unit stacking can be solved with a nnect on "unit move", and can just return the unit back to the original tile with full movement points and reset the pathfinding. Zone of control and not unit stacking requires some lua scripting. Upgrading units is built-in, though I haven't found where one controls that cost.įighting mechanics are nearly-fully realizable. Units are also limited to something like 200. Like the Shoeshone and their specialized pathfinder trait that gets carried through the game. ![]() I see an issue with perhaps special unit flags. Promotions and National Promotions are possible. Specialized Units and Buildings are possible The available acctions are based on present technologies, and extras (policies) already adopted. The basic premise is I would define the culture breakpoints for social policies, and when you reach those breakpoints, a "Social Policy" unit is created, that has actions that apply the "extra" to the original** capital tile of a civ (just for ease of tracking). (we should adopt this for religion and so on). Everything else would occur via effects and scripting.Ĭulture is much easier at this time, as a system has been developed for it. For example, you could have a string store all the religion names, a string storing (in binary) the flags specifying which effects are valid for those religions, and finally, a string storing the integer values of the amount of followers in a giving city for each religion. Strings, Ints, and Bools can be saved in savegames, so we can store all religion information by saving and loading those variables. Update: It might* be possible if you use strings. Quite, Quite, Quite difficult to pull off.ħ-a. Then, effects would have to be defined for that adoption, and so on. If I were to implement this, it would be fully committed in Lua, and would require creation of new players as religions are adopted and require fake units stationed at every city to keep track of faith contribution and number of citizens that are a given religion. Religion is not easily possible at this time. Terraforming is 100% possible, and relatively easy for once. Effects on science can be percentage based multipliers and individual values too :) Science based on population is possible by setting tax rates to always 100%, so no science is made from taxes and then using effects (and tile effects) to implement.
